Negli ultimi anni l'analisi termografica ha vissuto una crescita importane in ambiti anche molto differenti tra loro.

Uno dei settori più interessati è stato sicuramente quello dell'edilizia, grazie soprattutto all'introduzione di nuove leggi che prevedono la certificazione energetica degli edifici con lo scopo di ridurre le dispersioni termiche ed ottimizzare i consumi energetici.

La termografia infatti, “ è un tipo di acquisizione di immagini nel campo dell'infrarosso, che permette la visualizzazione bidimensionale della misura di irraggiamento"

Ogni corpo od oggetto che abbia una temperatura superiore allo zero assoluto emette radiazioni nel campo dell'infrarosso.

Mediante l'utilizzo della termocamera è quindi possibile rilevare la temperatura di un corpo "attraverso la misurazione dell'intensità di radiazione infrarossa emessa dall'oggetto in esame"

One of the most interesting branches has been surely the one of the construction, thanks to the introduction of new laws that plans the energy certification of the buildings in order to reduce the heat-dispersal and optimize the power cosumption.

La thermography, as matter of fact “ is a sort of images capture in the filed of the infrared, that allows the two dimensional sight on the rayment measure."

Each body or object which has a temperature higher than absolut zero beams radiations in the filed of the infrared.

The thermocamera allows the body survey temperature "trough the measurement of the infrared radiation intensity beamed from the object under exhamination".
